Issue #17: All About Building Customer Loyalty

Dear <firstname> ,

Loyal customers are far less likely to stray,
no matter what incentives are dangled in
front of them. You have to earn it. Here are
some pointers on how to do that.

-Live up to your promises always. That means
delivering on time, responding to queries and
comments, and really listening when members
have something to say. If you get a reputation
of being a membership site that really cares,
people will stay.

-Recognize your customers. Begin with making
it a point to officially welcome them to the site.

-Give an anniversary present. When a new member
has been with the site for a month, three months,
or six months, take the time to recognize them in
some manner.

-Keep members apprised of upcoming product
offerings, expansion of members only services,
or even a change in the look of the web site.
Knowing these types of things in advance helps
members to feel like a valued part of the club.

Loyal customers not only come back again and
again to buy things; they also tell their friends,
relatives, and associates to come do the same.

In the next few emails, we will focus more on
the best tools needed for building up the site,
getting traffic to your site and everything
needed to start finishing up on your very
first profit generating webpage
